Blackbird Believers Grant

Design Forward Program

Design Forward is a mobile creative lab developed with the support of the Blackbird Believers Grant, empowering young people to explore creativity, storytelling and digital design through hands-on workshops.

The program combines illustration, wearable art and technology, guiding students to transform their ideas into original designs using both traditional drawing techniques and digital tools. Through a collaborative and inclusive process, participants learn how creativity can become a powerful way to express identity, build confidence and share their ideas with the world.

Delivered within school communities, Design Forward creates accessible opportunities for young people to engage with art, innovation and design — encouraging curiosity, imagination and the belief that their creative voices matter.
